a slice of heaven…sometimes referred to as Maui

brian and i were so lucky to get this time away! we had not been to maui since our honeymoon almost 12 years ago (in July). it was a wonderful trip that we really didn’t realize how much we needed! it was the kind of trip, though, that leaves you wanting more no kids…lots of holding hands while walking, talking to each other (instead of yelling from the other room over screams of rowdy kids), mai-tais by the pool, sand between our toes and in our trade-wind-blown hair, sun-kissed skin, …. you get the idea. we are blessed to have family that love our kids and are able to care for them for a whole week while we were away. we are still recovering from all the fun i hope i won’t have to wait 12 more years for a trip like this…but if i do, i have the memories to warm my heart
