make my heart sing. we took the kids to the beach last friday night. we grabbed some sandwiches and had a picnic and then played in the sand and surf. well, i mostly took photos 
i love the photos of them just letting go and absorbing the sea air. i especially love the ones of ethan…we have had some real love/hate moments lately (strong words, but that is how it feels sometimes)…i think it is just growing pains for him and for us so, getting these photos really healed my soul. i look at them and i see shades of him at 18 months, when it was just the two of us looking for pill bugs in the back yard…i miss those days so much some times……but, then we have moments like these
i also love the photos of brian reading to the kids at the end of that night. we usually both read to the children in their beds before sleep, switching of each night, but when they have sleep-overs (usually in ethan’s bed) we read to both of them at the same time. i’ve wanted photos of this for a long time. glad i finally did it.
