as the days go by, we try to give our children something to keep them grounded in that big ol’ world…but all they really long to do is just fly!
these are from a recent session, but i thought they fit today so perfectly since it is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! my kids literally flew out the door this morning. they are so excited to just be done already…we have so much planned for the summer; i know it will fly by way too fast.

friday is becoming out ‘head to the beach’ night. this time we went down to san clemente,…had pizza across from the pier…listened to the san clemente jazz band belt out some tunes on the sand…and enjoyed the cool marine layer
you know what was really cool about the evening? the spontaneous-nature of our “plan”. i am such a planner…so tied to my schedule…always thinking about what i have next on my list to do…but for this evening of fun, the only thing we planned was the destination…and the extra dry clothes i packed for the ride home
